Our Story

In the summer of 2022, Hail and I started sending each other voice memos throughout the day to keep in touch. We often talked about what the Lord was teaching us and asked for specific prayers. We had jokingly called our growingly long voice memos “bestiecasts.”

We quickly began to desire a way to save and share our messages with our friends and family to encourage them in their walk with the Lord. Hundreds of “bestiecasts” later, God started putting a clear calling on our hearts to start a podcast with the hope of sharing His love and truth with all who would listen.

At first, we laughed off the idea. We’re just two ordinary girls in Atlanta trying to navigate the ups and downs of life. Surely we’re not qualified for this. But God relentlessly filled our minds and hearts with this dream to spread His good news. The months that followed were undeniably God’s hand at work.

Just like you, we’ve walked through all kinds of highs and lows in life—and our prayer is that This We Know will bring God’s truth and love to you in every season.

How We Met

The night we met will always be one of our favorite stories to tell. It was the summer of 2019 and Hail and I just happened to be invited to the same women’s Bible study at Peachtree Church in Atlanta. I’ll never forget walking into the Bible study knowing absolutely no one (a little intimidating, right?) and I ended up sitting at a table of women who seemed about my age.

Soon after, Hail walked in (fashionably!) late and sat down in the seat next to me. To this day, I remember instantly thinking, “WOW! That girl is stunning!” A few minutes later, our table was invited to do a fun icebreaker question to help us get to know each other. Hail shared that she had just gotten engaged the weekend prior as she held up her ring with a bursting smile. Hail was SO full of joy and radiated light and goodness. She was hilarious, warm and kind.

After our small group ended, I told her that my husband and I had just moved from Dallas to Atlanta, and that I didn’t know many people. We exchanged numbers and she so sweetly and intentionally started inviting me to lunches and dinners with friends to help me get to know some awesome women in the area.

We eventually started meeting up at coffee shops to work together, and that’s when we would have the BEST heart-to-hearts about life and our shared love for the Lord. We would always leave our time together with a renewed sense of closeness to God. It was such a blessing to always learn something new about His love, which would help us fix our hearts on His faithful promises.

Now, four years later, Hail and I have had the incredible opportunity to do so much life together. She has walked with me through pregnancy and the birth of my beautiful daughters, Reagan and Charlotte, and I've had the extraordinary honor of getting to stand by her as she married the love of her life, Sean.
